For our branch in Suriname, we are looking for a Financial Administrative Assistant, with following.
Professional profile:
The Financial Administrative Assistant reports to the Sr. Chief Accountant.
The Financial Administrative Assistant performs accounting, payroll, treasury and administrative duties requiring the exercise of independent judgment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS STATEMENTS
The Financial Administrative Assistant will be responsible for:
Bookkeeping & Data Entry
- Entering invoices, receipts, and financial transactions into the accounting system.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Preparing and processing supplier invoices
- Assisting with customer invoicing and payment tracking
- Following up on outstanding payments
Bank/Cash & Reconciliation
- Recording bank/cash transactions
Payroll Support
- Assisting in preparing payroll data (hours worked, overtime, deductions)
Financial Reporting Support
- Preparing basic financial reports, summaries, or spreadsheets
- Supporting audits by organizing required documentation
Administrative & Compliance Tasks
- Maintaining accurate records for audits and compliance
Communication & Coordination
- Liaising with suppliers and/or customers regarding payments
- Coordinating with other departments for financial information
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from college with an associate degree in accounting
- Three (3) years of related payroll accounting/treasury experience,
- Computer knowledge and a willingness to learn Word processing, spreadsheet and HTE system experience or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILSS & ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of principles of accounting
- Business operation and the general accounting processes.
- Working knowledge of modern office methods and procedures.
- Ability to keep routine financial records and to prepare routine financial reports.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to create effective working relationships with employees and other departments
