For our Branch in Suriname, we are hiring, Driller Assistant
Job Description
the Drill Assistant provides support to the Driller in obtaining core samples. This requires physical work such as continuously pulling rods and emptying inner tubes, assisting to set up the drill, connecting hydraulic hoses, preparing inner and outer tubes, and more.
- Fuel and lubrication Management
- Rod Handling/ Sample Presentation
- Prepare drill fluids by mixing in correct, prescribed order according to driller’s instructions or by pre-determined recipe
- Support Drillers to get vehicle(s) in a clean, Hazard free and safe condition by servicing in accordance with procedures and at designed frequency.

- Keep drilling tools and accessories in good
- Contribute as a valued team member and demonstrate commitment to the common goals and targets of the Company.
- Maintain a close working relationship with the Driller and fellow Drill Assistants and lead by example in relation to all workers at the Drill site
- Demonstrate your commitment to safety and willingness to learn and follow procedures.
Requirements
Basic English proficiency (a second language is a plus)
Natin MBO (Mining) diploma or similar level.
