Energy Power Works N.V., the official distributor of TotalEnergies lubricants in Suriname, is expanding its team!

We are looking for a driven and strategically strong Commercial Manager to chart the commercial course in line with our ambition—not only for the TotalEnergies brand but also for other leading brands such as Kroon Oil and more.

About the position
As Commercial Manager, you are responsible for the commercial strategy and its execution. You translate market opportunities into concrete action plans, build strong customer relationships, and lead the commercial team with vision and decisiveness. You work closely with marketing, operations, and international partners to increase the market share of our brands.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a commercial strategy for all brands within the portfolio.
  • Expand the customer base in various sectors such as mining, industry, transport, marine, and agriculture.
  • Lead the commercial team, including sales, key account management, and business development.
  • Analyze market developments and customer needs.
  • Prepare sales targets, KPIs, and forecasts.
  • Draft and manage the commercial budget.
  • Maintain contact with (international) suppliers, manufacturers, and key clients.
  • Optimize pricing, distribution channels, and promotional activities.
  • Report to the Managing Director.

Profile

  • At least an HBO or WO degree in commercial economics, business administration, or similar.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a commercial or sales management role, preferably in the (auto)industry, oil & gas, or FMCG.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strategically and hands-on oriented.
  • Experience with brand management and setting up commercial structures is a plus.
  • Proven leadership qualities and the ability to motivate teams.
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English (spoken and written).
  • Affinity with the Surinamese market is a plus.
